SPORTS FACILITIES

Galway
The Sports Hall, located on the Dublin Road campus, provides facilities for those wishing to participate in indoor activities such as indoor soccer, basketball, volleyball and badminton.  The facility is available to students free of charge but advance booking is essential due to demand. 

A gym is located upstairs in the sports hall on the Dublin Road campus.  This modern facility is equipped with treadmills, resistance equipment, cardiovascular machines and free weights.  The gym is professionally staffed at all times and offers fitness assessments and personal training programmes free of charge. 

Castlebar
The Castlebar campus includes a lighted sports pitch and running track, team shower facilities and a large hall for indoor sports and fitness classes. The town swimming pool, a new tennis club, and a lake are within a 5-minute walk from the campus. The Students Union negotiated special student rates with a local fitness centre. A number of outdoor centres in the area support water sports and hill walking.

Letterfrack
The letterfrack campus has a new all-weather sports pitch and a tennis/basketball court.  Ellis Hall (adjacent to the college) is available for hire for table tennis, badminton and pool.  A number of local centres facilitate sports such as scuba diving, outdoor adventure and horse riding.
