What is a programme?
A programme is the course chosen by you to study.

What is a module?
A module is a subject on which you are assessed/examined.

With whom should I speak if I have a question in relation to my programme?
Each programme has a Programme Coordinator who is happy to deal with any queries you have in relation to your programme. 

What happens if I fail a module?
The Academic Code of Practice No 3 Student Assessment: Marks & Standards sets out standards for satisfactory academic performance.  You are strongly encouraged to read this policy as it explains what is expected of students in order to progress within GMIT.

I have a question in relation to fees, who should I contact?

If I decide to leave my programme or defer it, how do I go about it?
You must complete a Withdrawal/Exiting Form or a Deferral Form which can be obtained from your School Office.

Will I have a student email account?
Each student has a student email account which is used to inform students about GMIT events, academic and other notices.

I have a disability/medical condition, with whom should I discuss this?
Students with disabilities should contact the Access Office in advance of commencing their course or as early as possible in the academic year so that supports can be put in place.
