LIVING IN MOUNTBELLEW

Mountbellew is a small growing town about 50km from Galway city.  Set in the heartland of the county, Mountbellew is a busy town with many shops and small businesses.  It is situated close to woodlands in which there are scenic forest walks, picnic facilities and an 18-hole golf course. 

The village is located in an area of great historical interest: it was once the home of the Grattan-Bellew family, famous Galway parliamentarians during the 18th and 19th centuries.
