My GMIT Experience

Siobhan McGibbon, Galway City Bachelor of Fine Art in Sculpture I chose a career in art because it has always been a passion of mine. I fell in love with the atmosphere in the Cluain Mhuire campus straight away and enjoyed every minute of my time in the college right from the start. |

Mark Burke, Galway Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Design in Textile I came to GMIT to study sculpture after doing a PLC in portfolio preparation in GTI. It wasn't until second year that I decided on Textiles. |

| Dave Moran, Mayo Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television I was 24 when I applied to go back to college and study Film & TV. At the time I was working in customer service doing a job I hated. While I was waiting to hear whether I'd gotten a place I received a job offer. Typical. I could move to Dublin and do a job similar to the one I was doing; good money, security and all that comes with it. I opted for college and finished my degree in GMIT in May 2009. |

Michelle Conway, New York and Barna Bachelor of Arts in Art & Design (Part-time) I am from Troy in upstate New York. I moved to Ireland in 1990 and have been here since. I graduated in 1990 from Syracuse University, with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Advertising. I realized early in my degree that I was more interested in the process of advertising than selling a product. |
