I heard good reports from friends who studied in GMIT, in particular about the excellent B.Eng. in Computer & Electronic Engineering programme. I took this into account when filling out the CAO form, plus the fact that Galway is a great city with a great cultural vibe.

I picked this programme because of the wide range of work experience and placements it offered and because it was a natural progression to my previous studies in GMIT. I chose GMIT Hotel School as it's so well known in the industry, nationally and internationally.

Bachelor of Science in Software Development (2009)
GMIT is a small world for me as I've got friends from all parts of the globe. It’s a great learning environment with great people. For a computing student like me the best thing about GMIT is its labs. We’ve got a good CGI lab which has robots, Xboxes and computers that we can do experiments on.

The four years have been great. The programme is challenging but so far there hasn't been anything I haven't been able for. One major advantage is the "hands on approach". It keeps us interested.
