CAO Applications
If you want to apply to enter the first year of one of our

• Higher Certificate (Level 6) programmes

• Ordinary Bachelor Degree (Level 7) programmes

• Honours Bachelor Degree (Level 8) programmes

you will need to make your application through the Central Applications Office.

Direct Applications
If you are not currently a student of GMIT but want to

• apply for an add-on Ordinary Bachelor Degree or Honours Bachelor Degree programmes at GMIT

• transfer to the second or subsequent year of one of our ad initio programmes

• apply for one of our postgraduate programmes

you will need to apply to the Institute directly.

Internal Applications
If you are currently a student of GMIT and would like to

• apply for an add-on Ordinary Bachelor Degree or Honours Bachelor Degree programmes at the Institute

you will need to submit an Internal Application.

Scholarships at GMIT
GMIT has a number of scholarship schemes including Academic Scholarships, Sports Scholarships, the President's Award, and the Special Sports and Cultural Achievement (SSCA) Scheme.
