Demand for Accountants has never been higher. At GMIT we have a range of accounting courses to suit all levels.

Already a graduate in another discipline? Why not consider a career change?

Eamon Walsh, Head of Accounting & Information Systems at GMIT explains:

“Interest in studying Accounting is strong and the jobs market for Accountancy graduates remains buoyant in areas such as Tax, Compliance, Solvency and Financial Management.  Many Accountancy firms are now leaving job opportunities open year round, whereas in the past they had a window of a couple of months for recruitment. Most of our recent graduates are now working as trainee Accountants and/or studying for their professional exams.  Every company employs or uses the services of an Accountant so there are always job opportunities in this field -  and we cannot fulfill the current demands.”

“There are also options for graduates of non-business disciplines. The Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting remains a popular option for those who are finding it difficult to get employment and wish to change direction or enhance their existing qualifications.  Graduates of this postgrad diploma will gain numerous exemptions from Chartered Accounting Ireland and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)."

Our postgraduate diploma is your fast-track to a career in Accounting. Applications are now open for September 2017 start – visit http://www.gmit.ie/accounting/postgraduate-diploma-accounting and apply online today! The application deadline is 31st May 2017.
