Environmental Management & Conservation, Archaeology Theory and Practice, Information Management, Imagining Ireland and Cultural Tourism, Irish Modernism and Museum Studies.
You may also carry out an independent research project in the dissertation module.
Career Opportunities
Graduates may work as archaeology site supervisors, project leaders and researchers in rural development and for local authorities. Those wishing to develop careers in the environmental field have employment opportunities with the National Parks and Wildlife Service, Teagasc and the local authorities.
This programme is recognised by the Teaching Council for progression to the Post- graduate Diploma in Education, on completion of which, graduates are qualified to teach Geography to Leaving Certificate in second level schools.
Post-graduate Studies
GMIT honours (Level 8) qualifications are recognised world-wide for post-graduate entry.
