Aim of course: To introduce participants to the fascinating world of investing.  The course should provide participants with a good understanding of the markets and  certainly assist  with future investment decisions.

· How to value shares

· Technical analysis and charts

· Practicalities of investing - online demonstration of purchasing and selling shares

· How to find a good broker

· Investing versus trading

· When and how to use stop losses

· When to buy and when to sell

· Psychology and its impact  on investment decisions

· Do’s and don’ts of investing

· Keys to investment success

· Review of financial derivatives

· Taxation matters

Course Tutor

Don Hoctor is Managing Director of  an investment mentoring company. He has over twenty years investment experience and set up his company to educate and help investors . Don has a degree in Commerce and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He has worked in both practice and industry since qualifying in 1984. He continues to provide professional financial services to a number of companies.
