Start Your Own Business

Aim of Course: The aims of this programme is to give individuals seeking to start their own business the skills, management tools and expertise in making the right decisions, planning and organising effectively. It will help individuals gauge the amount of control they need to use in order to keep their new venture running effectively and efficiently.

Who this course is for: This programme is suited to those aspiring to start their own business.  It is designed to help individuals who are considering starting their own business to obtain and/or develop the necessary skills and knowledge to assess the marketing and financial viability of their business idea/project.

Content:

Introduction to Business Planning for Entrepreneurs

Researching their ideas to set up their businesses

Sales and Marketing

Employment legislation

Understanding the components of a Business Plan / Business Plan Development

Getting help in developing the business

Understanding the legal, start-up and accounting issues

Note:

This programme will examine the entrepreneurial skills and tools necessary for any successful start up. The programme will focus in on researching ideas for businesses and planning finance for start-ups. Individuals looking to start their own business will receive advice on the “do’s” and “don’ts” of a successful start up as well as looking at the core elements of a business plan.

Course Tutor

Anne Donnellan has a background in Business and Finance and has worked closely with Business start ups during her Banking career. She is a Qualified Financial Advisor. Her focus is directed to the business environment, lending and the growth potential of the business in the current economic environment. She currently works with Business start ups as a Trainer delivering programmes on Financial Forecasting, Sales Training and Customer Care Management.
