Introduction to Modern Bread Making

Aim of Course:  This course provides a broad introduction to modern bread making principles and practice.   Ideal for anyone who wants to bake their own variety of breads.

Entry Requirements:  None

Content:

· Variety of pan breads:- demonstration and hands on for participants

· Oatmeal pan and a variety of baps:  Yorkshire tea cakes, Waterford Blahs & Scotch baps

· London Bloomers and milk bread

· Holzfaller brot (German multi grain) and platted bread (Challah)

· Variety of Soda breads

· Pain au Fromage (cheese bread) and butter milk sour dough

Note:

White coats and head cover will be supplied by the college.

Fee:  €150

Duration:   One evening a week for 6 weeks from 7pm - 9.30

Location:  GMIT Dublin Road Campus
