Course Description:

Overview: Beer and Wine making has never been more popular. The UK/Irish market for home brew kits is estimated in excess of 65 million pounds. With advances in wine and beer making, and the availability of better quality ingredients, even the first time or novice brewer can produce excellent quality beer and wine.

The aim of this course is to provide participants with the necessary information and skills to become a successful home brewer and wine maker. The course combines wine and beer making and is designed for people with no knowledge of either topic. It covers the basic use of beer/wine making kits and extends the students knowledge to advanced topics allowing them to produce better quality beer

The intention is that you put into practice the learning by making your own beer/ wine and you will be provided with a list of materials on the first night of what materials you wold need to obtain to do this.

Course Tutor:

Alan Brennan has an intermediate cert from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust http://www.wset.co.uk/ in wines and spirits. He is trained to Advanced standard. Alan is the owner/ proprietor of a local off Licence in Galway.

Beer and Wine Making

Duration: One evening a week for 7 weeks from 7pm - 9pm
