Points for GMIT construction management programmes have decreased sharply as in recent years, down 70 for the honours degree programme and 90 for the ordinary level 7 programme, respectively, compared to last year (2010).
GMIT Registrar Michael Hannon says the data indicates that students are targeting programmes they expect to get employment in such as Science and Technology sectors.
“We are happy to announce that GMIT has increased its number of level 8 programme offers by 6% this year, in line with the Institute’s strategy to increase the number of honours degree places to meet student demand”, says Mr. Hannon.
