Over 40 organisations comprising a range of employers groups and recruitment agencies are to take part in the annual GMIT Mayo Graduate Careers Fair which takes place in St Mary’s Hall on campus on Tuesday, 10 February, 11am to 2pm.

Students, graduates and the general public will have an opportunity to find out all about career trends, emerging growth areas and current job opportunities in both the public and private sector.

Representatives from companies in Business and Finance, Technology, Healthcare and Adventure Tourism will be in attendance as well as a number of international and Irish volunteer organisations.

Several third level colleges from Ireland and the UK will also take part in the event, offering information on a broad range of post graduate opportunities that boost graduates’ employability.

The Graduate Careers Fair will feature a number of presentations on the day by different exhibitors.

GMIT Mayo Careers Counsellor Michelle Kerins O’ Brien, says a number of employment support agencies will also attend the event.  “Whilst it is a Graduate Careers Fair there is something for everyone with information on postgraduate studies, professional exams, support in looking for work both locally and nationally, working abroad, etc…”

“It is a big day for the GMIT Mayo campus and we expect a very good turn out from students, graduates and the general public.”

The event will take place in St Mary's hall on campus from 11am to 2pm.  All are welcome and admission is free.
