GMIT staff continue to explore new opportunities for the region through their work on new programme development and their engagement with business and the wider community.

Taught Masters Programmes
Graduates are having to update their skills or acquire new skills in order to enhance their careers.  We provide a range of taught masters programmes with this in mind:

Master of Science in Computing

Master of Business in Strategy and Innovation Management

Master of Science in Environmental Systems

Lifelong Learning Programmes
The GMIT Lifelong Learning programme offers opportunities to people who wish to pursue interests and hobbies or who wish to progress their careers and meet professional requirements. 

Higher Certificate in Business Enterprise Development
In 2009/10, staff offered their time and expertise to a group of unemployed people so that they would pursue a Higher Certificate in Business Enterprise Development.

RTÉ's Six One News featured a segment on the success of the higher certificate on October 26th. 

Other Programmes
There is some variety in programme delivery to accommodate student needs.  Some programmes allow participants to continue working full time. Access is facilitated by the provision of some programmes on an outreach basis and by distance learning.
