Innovative Approaches to Learning In January 2009, GMIT piloted Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) on four of our first year programmes. The initiative was rolled out to more first year programmes in September 2009.

Also from September 2009, a new mandatory module—Learning to Learn—was introduced for all first year students. The module helps you develop your learning skills to meet the demands of third-level study.

Transfers/Add-on Programmes To apply for entry into the second, third, or fourth year of a programme at GMIT you must apply to the Institute.
Application forms for direct admissions into GMIT in September 2010 will be available in early 2010.
