WHY STUDY AT GMIT?

Practical Programmes, Excellent Prospects
Because of the low staff-to-student ratio at GMIT we can offer you programmes that focus on active and applied learning.  Work placement is also a feature of many of our programmes.

This practical focus, along with high academic standards, ensures excellent employment prospects for graduates.

Innovative Approaches to Learning
In January 2009, GMIT piloted Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) on four of our first year programmes.  The initiative was rolled out to more first year programmes in September 2009.

Also from September 2009, a new mandatory module—Learning to Learn—was introduced for all first year students. The module helps you develop your learning skills to meet the demands of third-level study.

Great Locations with Plenty of Accommodation
GMIT is a multi-campus college.  All our campuses are student-friendly environments with friendly staff, excellent facilities and support services, and readily available accommodation.

They are also easily accessible from all parts of the country, with comprehensive bus and/or rail links.
