Below are the ways which students may avail of our services, and more information about the schemes and supports we provide.
Access Scholarship Scheme
GMIT offers twelve scholarships to the value of €5,000 each to students entering GMIT from post-primary schools in Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Limerick, Clare and Leitrim, who are from socio-economically or other disadvantaged backgrounds.
These Access Scholarships are provided in increments over the duration of your course.
Students may also be considered for a CAO points reduction of up to 50 points (“Special Entry” scheme).

HEAR / DARE Scheme
GMIT is a member of the Higher Education Access Route (HEAR) and The Disability Access Route to Education (DARE).

New Programmes and Activities
The Junior Achievement Programme involves schools from Counties Galway and Mayo, and is focused on assisting young individuals realise their full potential.
