Access Scholarship Scheme

ATU offers twelve Access Scholarships every year. Each scholarship is worth €5,000. The scholarships are awarded to students from socio-economically or other disadvantaged backgrounds, from secondary schools in Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Limerick, Clare and Leitrim.

Access Scholarships are provided in increments over the duration of your course.

Students may also be considered for a CAO points reduction of up to 50 points (“Special Entry” scheme).

HEAR and DARE Schemes

ATU is a member of the Higher Education Access Route (HEAR) and The Disability Access Route to Education (DARE).

Supports and Services for Members of the Traveller Community, or other Ethnic Minority Groups

Members of the Traveller Community or other Ethnic Minorities or their support workers/resource teachers should contact the Access Office for information.
