Description
This module will allow the student to enhance their knowledge and increase appreciation of the vast scope and uses of IT systems. It is envisaged that experience and exposure to DSS, MIS, ERP software will increase the students knowledge and understanding of the use of IT within modern organiosations
Learning Outcomes
The student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance & need for application of their knowledge to a specific IT system / application
The student will be capable of operating & understanding a range of Enterprise Resource Planning and financial software, Management decision support systems, ecommerce applications and their extensive use in modern organisations
The student will be able to demonstrate an enhanced understanding of organisational operations, business intelligence systems, ecommerce models and IT support systems
The student will be capable of applying critical thinking skills while completing practical applied project in a specified IT system.
The student will gain hands on experience of IT systems and their application by having access to modern software apps to enhance understanding of business and analytical systems currently inuse in a modern organisation
