Description

This module will introduce the student to the various aspects of forensic computing.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Have a broad knowledge of the nature of Computer Forensics and Digital Investigations and an understanding of the procedures and methodology used to conduct such investigations.

  2. Be competent in the process and procedural requirements of digital-media based / related investigations.

  3. Have gained a familiarity at a practical level in the use of digital investigation software tools.

  4. Be capable of evaluating the potential applicability or otherwise of a digital media based investigation to specific cases and incidents.
