Contemporary Art Practices Core Visual Studies 2

A yearlong module in which the basic components of a visual art language gained in year one are developed and extended. This will equip the learner with the knowledge and competency to engage with the visual art world in a meaningful and sustainable manner.

1. Demonstrate an appropriate knowledge of the materials and techniques of drawing, painting and multimedia.

2. Demonstrate the ability to respond to a set brief by engaging in workshop process and research methodologies.

3. Develop their critical evaluation and contribute to debate in peer/staff discussion and activity.

4. Employ  the ability to study independently and exercise substantial personal autonomy.
