Contemporary Art Practices Introduction to Print

This module provides a basic introduction to fine art printing techniques including monoprint, lino, drypoint and woodblock.

1. Identify print making processes such as monoprint, lino, drypoint and woodblock.

2. Display competency in the technical application and process in making images using the above.

3. Use printmaking as part of research methodologies.

4. Demonstrate an understanding of the basics of line and tone in print.

5. Be familiar with good studio practice, health and safety in the printmaking studio.

6. Be familiar with the process and technology associated in editioning prints in a professional printmaking studio.
