This module offers a critical perspective on the neurodiversity paradigm and its implications for care practice, peer support and social activism.

1. Critical perspective on the neurodiversity paradigm.

2. Critical perspective on the pathology / bio-medical paradigm.

3. Appreciation of various discourses regarding autism and other medicalised neurodivergent experiences.

4. Capacity to apply the implication of these critical reflections to a variety of practice settings and social activism.
