Essential Information: 

This course will run year long for one day per week (day of the week to be confirmed).

 

Cost of programme

€1,200 plus €415 for uniform, induction training courses and knife fees – entire amount to be paid at registration.

 

Qualification

This programme is a level 6 minor award on QQI Level 6 Higher Certificate in Culinary Arts Programme.

 

Progression

Graduates of this programme can progress to undertake other modules on QQI Level 6 Culinary Arts programmes.

Apply directly to GMIT.  All applicants will be interviewed for suitability.

 

Entry Requirements

To qualify for entry, an applicant must achieve a pass in five Leaving Certificate subjects at Grade 06/H7 and must include English or Irish and Mathematics. 

Foundation Studies Certificate or any FETAC Level 5/6 award will also meet the minimum entry requirements . 

Recognised Prior Learning may also be used for admission.
