Design Thinking and Principles 1

This module provides an overview of design disciplines, sectors, and principles.

The module will also introduce the student to the background, context, methods, techniques and processes associated with Design Problem Solving, collectively known as Design Thinking. The module will make extensive use of case studies, examples and practical introductory exercises.

1. Understand the background and context to using structured approaches to design problems

2. Plan structured approaches to design problems

3. Evaluate and select a variety of design thinking methodologies

4. Draft an initial Design Proposal
