Digital Heritage II

Description

A module in applied multimedia practises within the Museum and Heritage sector with specific reference to the applied use of multi-platform web design for public outreach and research publication.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate the ability to edit and format source assets (such as images and audio) using appropriate software tools for online multi-platform delivery.

  2. Demonstrate the ability to generate simple webpage layouts for multi-platform distribution using basic HTML.

  3. Demonstrate the ability to control the appearance of webp content site-wide using basic CSS3 procedures.

  4. Desmonstrate the ability to integrate and embed simple multimedia content into colmpleted webpages using HTML5.

  5. Show evidence of research ability in the design of a functioning website for public outreach strategies in the Heritage/Museum environment.

  6. Demonstrate the ability to deliver using appropriate software tools a functioning multimedia Heritage/Museum website suitable for audience viewing across a range of mobile, desktop and smart TV devices.
