What's Happening

GMIT Engineering lecturer Dr Oliver Mulryan with the Engineers Ireland hoodie

Following a series of recent virtual visits from the Engineers Ireland student representative Mícheál Gallagher, GMIT’s School of Engineering is now in the position to announce the “Engineers Ireland Hoodie” lucky dip prize winners. 

The winners are:

Daniel Thompson from Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow was the Stage 1, Agricultural Engineering Student Award recipient

Annually the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering in GMIT along with its many industrial partners host an Engineering Poster Exhibition and Competition – “Engineering Expo”.

This event was scheduled to take place in late April but was postponed due to the pandemic.

GMIT is delighted to announce it has been awarded an Athena SWAN Bronze Award from Advance HE. This coveted award recognises extensive work undertaken in recent years to advance gender equality for staff and students.
