Daniel Thompson from Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow was the Stage 1, Agricultural Engineering Student Award recipient

Annually the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering in GMIT along with its many industrial partners host an Engineering Poster Exhibition and Competition – “Engineering Expo”.

This event was scheduled to take place in late April but was postponed due to the pandemic.

The 10th annual GMIT International Construction Management Conference took place on 3 March, in the GMIT Dublin Road campus with over 350 delegates attending various sessions throughout the day.

GMIT is delighted to announce that its excellent academic resource for students, the GMIT Academic Writing Centre, has transitioned fully to online delivery, offering focused academic writing tuition to all students, at all levels, across all disciplines on the Galway and Mayo campuses.

GMIT is delighted to be a partner in hosting DojoMór2020, an exciting and fun online coding event for young people aged 7 to 17, where in one day (Saturday 24 October 2020), right across Ireland, they learn to create a simple game, build a website, and programme some electronics.
