Daniel Thompson from Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow was the Stage 1, Agricultural Engineering Student Award recipient

Annually the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering in GMIT along with its many industrial partners host an Engineering Poster Exhibition and Competition – “Engineering Expo”.

This event was scheduled to take place in late April but was postponed due to the pandemic.

The 10th annual GMIT International Construction Management Conference took place on 3 March, in the GMIT Dublin Road campus with over 350 delegates attending various sessions throughout the day.

GMIT has an international reputation for offering industry-relevant courses to the Tourism industry since opening in 1972.

International students on field trips as part of their studies on the Erasmus Mundus funded International Master of Science in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea), which is delivered in GMIT’s Marine and Freshwater Research Centre, Galway.

GMIT and a consortium of European Higher Education Institute partners have been awarded funding of €4.4 million under the EU Erasmus+ Key Action 1 - Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees 2020, to continue delivery of the International Master of Science in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea).
