To provide students with a working knowledge and understanding of the institutional frameworks and law governing employment in Ireland.

Learning Outcomes

  1. have a comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation and common law;

  2. have a critical understanding of legal best practice in recruitment, employment, termination of employment and employee relations policies and procedures based on established legal principles;

  3. have an awareness of the mechanisms and institutions that are available to adjudicate on employment law disputes.
