The art and craft of short fiction film.

1. Devise, develop and direct a short film, from concept to delivery.

2. Demonstrate an understanding of the aesthetics of film form and the application of film grammar in narrative and experimental work.

3. Display a strong understanding of the creative and practical aspects of directing a crew to achieve a desired and cohesive vision.

4. Demonstrate the ability to elicit a performance by means of casting choices, rehearsal methods, directing on set, and refinement in the edit.

5. Evidence proficiency in pre-visualising a project through scene analysis, storyboards, shooting script, tramlines, and shot list.

6. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate and engage as a group on film projects.
