Geography and Outdoor Education (Hons)

Learning through Adventure! A four-year Honours degree combining the study of the Environment, Landscape and Adventure.

In addition to a wide range of career opportunities, graduates can progress to the Professional Master of Education to teach Geography at second level.

Furniture Design, Making and Technology and Furniture Design, Making and Technology (Hons)

In a change to our previous course structure at GMIT Letterfrack, students now complete a common first year where they are introduced to furniture design, making and digital manufacturing skills and techniques.

Students then choose their preferred degree from a choice of three:

  1. Furniture Design and Manufacture
  2. Furniture Making and Architectural Woodworking
  3. Furniture and Digital Manufacturing

Teacher Education in Art, Design and Graphics (Hons)

A four-year (Level 8) honours degree designed to provide a pathway for students to teach both Art and Design and Communication Graphics in Irish secondary schools

GA285 Galway - CCAM

Manufacturing Engineering Design (Hons)

This exciting new four-year degree has a very practical focus and will provide the next generation of manufacturing specialists, innovators and efficiency experts.

They will be strategically prepared to take advantage of the opportunities available in the new High-Tech knowledge economy.

5. Early Childhood Education and Care 

This two year Higher Certificate of Arts award is designed to provide learners with a comprehensive education in Early Childhood Education and Care.

It is proposed that the Early Childhood Education and Care students will have an opportunity to study a semester in Ontario in the second year of their course.
