International residential field course

Description

The international residential field course is intended to provide students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and experiential learning which will integrate learning outcomes from a range of modules in the degree. The chosen location represents an an interface between freshwater and marine environments, comprising priority habitats with significant anthropgenic impacts, such as intensive agriculture, hunting and harvest, water abstraction and climate change.

Learning Outcomes

    1. Select and perform techniques to assess aspects relating to biodiversity and conservation.
    2. Identify relevant environmental law as pertaining to the activities covered during the field trip.
    3. Identify the important resource management issues covered during the field trip.
