Introduction to Social Policy

Description

Social policy is pivotal in promoting the welfare of individuals and communities, but may also result in unintentional negative outcomes for some groups within society.   This module guides the learner to explore social policy, its formation and how it relates to other disciplines.  This will include sociology, politics, economics and history among others.  The learner by engaging with the module content develops an understanding of how social policy is formed and how it may impact upon on the daily lives of individuals and communities.
