Invitation to Psychology

Description

This is a Level 6 Module taught over a single semester. It is designed to provide students with a broad introduction to the scope and range of psychological theories and principles, and their application to life.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Have a broad knowledge and understanding of the historical and theoretical development of the discipline of psychology

  2. Describe the role of psychology in various contexts and its contribution to the social and behavioral sciences

  3. Describe and discuss contemporary approaches and schools of thinking in psychology

  4. Apply basic psychological theory to understanding human behavior and lifespan development
