Leadership and Management in Nursing

This module will introduce students to leadership and management challenges in health care. It aims to develop an understanding of the functions and processes in health care leadership and management.

1. Articulate key leadership and management theories, appreciate theoretical underpinnings and evaluate practice implications.

2. Understand the relevance and impact of organisational culture especially with regard to organisational change.

3. Recognise contemporary approaches to individual and organisational learning and development.
