This is a one year programme that gives you an entry route into the following four different Engineering honours degree courses:
- Agricultural Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Energy Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
It will give you the opportunity to discover these disciplines during first year, before you have to make a final decision on which course is right for you.
So, you can start now, and choose later.
During this year-long course, you will study:
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Computer Aided Design
- Learning Innovation Skills
- Electrical Science
- Engineering in Business
- Engineering Science
- Mechanical Dissection
- Human Physiology
- Introduction to Energy Systems
At the end of Semester 1, you will choose between two levels of Mathematics and Engineering Science – Fundamental or Standard.
You will also narrow down your modules by choosing between Mechanical Dissection, Human Physiology and Introduction to Energy Systems.
To progress to Year 2 of the four honours degree programmes, you need to either:
1. Register for the standard modules in Mathematics and Engineering Science, and pass all your first year modules with 40% or higher in each module.
2. Register for Mathematics Fundamentals and / or Engineering Science Fundamentals, and pass all your first year modules with 70% or higher in the Fundamental module(s).
