Natural Heritage and Geography 1

The module explores the idea of Natural Heritage. The student is introduced to the variety of nature by examining rocks, soils, animals and plants from Ireland. Methods of describing nature through drawing photography and writing are practiced.

1. Appreciate the variety of the natural world

2. Identify the major groups of rocks, plants and animals found in Ireland

3. Knowledge of basic literature used to identify Irish rocks, plants and animals

4. Use drawing and digital photography to record natural objects
