Press Release

The GMIT President Dr Orla Flynn and the President of the GMIT Students Union Victor O'Loughlin today (Mon 28 Sept 2020) welcome all students for the beginning of the new academic year, and urge new first years to check the GMIT Student Hub (https://studenthub.gmit.ie/getgoing.html) for updated information on scheduled practical inductions. Induction timetables have been amended following the government announcement on Friday, 25 September.

“This is not unexpected and we are confident of the measures that we have in place to keep people safe during on-campus practical activities. We urge everyone to make extra efforts to comply with the public health guidelines. We ask students to stay home unless they have a scheduled practical session, and remember to wear a mask, reduce contacts and observe physical distancing, even when not on campus.”
