GMIT scoops top EIQA Quality Management course award for fourth year in a row
GMIT student Margaret Murray from Claregalway, Co Galway, has won the national "Student of the Year” award for Quality Management 1 from EIQA at the National Q Mark Awards formal presentation ceremony in Dublin recently. This is the fourth year in a row that GMIT students have won this coveted national prize.
The part-time EIQA Certificate in Quality Management is delivered at the GMIT Galway campus’ School of Maths & Computing. Course co-ordinator and lecturer Rachel McCarthy praised Margaret, saying “This is a fantastic achievement and represents the dedication and interest in her studies that Margaret demonstrated, and is still demonstrating in year two of this course. We are delighted that our GMIT students have been best in the country for the last four years. “
“The week after the awards ceremony, Margaret brought her EIQA award into the current class of Quality Management 1 students and shared her advice and tips to assist them in their upcoming exam and projects.”
The Certificate in Quality Management in GMIT runs one evening a week over two years and makes up two modules of a Level 7, add-on Bachelor of Science Degree in “Quality for Industry” at GMIT.
