Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Arts in Outdoor Education

GMIT Mayo is pleased to announce two new honours degree programmes, Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Arts in Outdoor Education, commencing next September (2015).

The two new Level 8 programmes have been introduced in response to demand from school leavers whose CAO choices in recent years indicate a growing preference for honours degree programmes.

The Business and Outdoor Education degree (Level 7) programmes have been very popular with school leavers for many years, along with other programmes in accounting, heritage studies, construction and sustainable building technology, digital media and society, information technology, and computer services management.

Michael Gill, Head of the Dept of Business, Humanities and Technology, says: “We are happy to be able to expand the number of courses on offer at honours degree level. Many students wish to commence a level 8 honours degree programme on leaving school and we are delighted to be able to provide them with this opportunity.”

Dr Deirdre Garvey, Head of GMIT Mayo, says: “We have a diverse range of programmes serving regional and national needs. The addition of these new honours degrees provides further opportunities for students and will contribute to regional development.”

GMIT Mayo is an intimate and friendly place to study, with a supportive learning environment and a wide selection of sporting and extra-curricular activities to enjoy. Read more about the campus and the range of programmes on offer, as well as student life:  http://www.gmit.ie/gmit-mayo
