Teaching & Learning Studiosity

A new online academic support service was piloted to all GMIT students under the Teaching & Learning Office in November 2020. Studiosity is a third-party service offering evening and weekend, online, academic writing and maths support.  Students could choose to use either of the following services:

1. Academic Writing Feedback: Review of submitted drafts up to 5,500 words within 24 hours with feedback including structure, spelling / grammar, language and standard referencing protocols using a bespoke platform with inbuilt tools. Please note, no review of content or line editing is provided.

2. Connect Live for Course Skills: One-to-one live chat-based study support sessions for core skills subjects including English, Maths, Science, Statistics, Economics and Accounting.

Students can type a question, draw on the whiteboard provided, or share a file. Students were able to access Studiosity, in addition to a full listing of GMIT's in-house academic supports (e.g. Library, Academic Writing Centre, Maths Learning Centre), within the Student Hub.
