Why Study?
Recovery in mental health implies focusing on the strengths and opportunities for a service user rather than the limitations and symptoms of mental illness.
Such an approach emphasizes the concepts of hope and optimism and are integral values in the recovery approach. The aim of this module is to enable learners to develop an in depth working knowledge of the principles and practice of recovery for the mental health service user and to critically evaluate the range of skills necessary to work innovatively and collaboratively with service users, carers, and their families and appropriate agencies.
This course is aimed at mental health professionals working in the area of rehabilitation and recovery in mental health.
