Pattern Drafting and Construction 2

Description

This modules builds on learning from Pattern Drafting and Construction 1. Learners will draft basic patterns that may include bodice, collar and sleeve. As their skill advances in womenwear and/or menswear. Students progress to make variations on skirt, blouse, shirt, dress, jacket, trousers, coat, sleeves and collars patterns. Students advance skills in sampling and construction, fit and form advance, learning appropiate tools, equipment, stitches, and a glossary of terms used in sewing.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Apply accurate measurement techniques for drafting a basic block

  2. Construct toiles from drafted pattern applying appropiate tools and techniques

  3. Develop appropriate patterns for the construction of apparel from basic blocks

  4. Evaluate correct fit and form appropriate to context and aesthetic
