Six students at GMIT’s National Centre for Excellence in Furniture Design & Technology in Letterfrack have successfully qualified to compete at this year’s Ireland Skills Live Event at the RDS in Dublin from 21 to 23 March.

Shane McHugo, a postgraduate researcher in GMIT and Enterprise Ireland’s Medical and Engineering Technology (MET) Gateway, has been awarded the Allergan Innovation Award for his research on congenital heart disease.
