Project Management

This module provides a broad overview of Project Management particularly with reference to Engineering. The module is part of a suite of modules that are taken instead of Work Placement on the BEng in Software and Electronic Engineering.

1. Demonstrate knowledge of quantitative project management techniques including planning, scheduling, estimating and controlling costs.

2. Explain the principles and techniques of risk management.

3. Create project plans using software tools

4. Evaluate critical paths and contingencies in project planning

5. Evaluate project plans from the perspective of financial planning, supply chain management and concurrent engineering.
