GMIT’s integrated approach to Research, Development and Innovation is delivered through its Research Centres and Innovation Hubs.

We apply our knowledge in Intellectual Property and business incubation to link companies with Institutional expertise, and work with national and international partners. Our research centres include the:

  • Marine and Freshwater Research Centre (MFRC)

All centres complement our established expertise in Science, Engineering, and Heritage.  Emerging areas such as Information and Communication Technologies, Tourism, Arts and Design are opening new avenues for research.
