Research Methods for Dissertations

Description

On completion of this module students should have a fundamental knowledge of some of the key research methods and sources that are typically used in heritage studies scholarship.

Learning Outcomes

  1. (a) Appreciate the range of strategies and practices that can be used in preparing, managing and running a research project.

    (b) Use a diverse range of research methods and historical sources to plan and carry out their own independent heritage investigations.

    (c) Write a Preliminary Research Proposal (which could potentially form part of future Dissertation Proposal).
