Career Opportunities

This course was developed in conjunction with retail leaders in the West of Ireland ensuring it can meet the needs of the vast retail sector throughout Ireland and beyond.

Essential Information: 

Work Placement

The retail sector is highly competitive and the school urges students to undertake a summer work placement at the end of year one of the course. This experience will provide significant advantages when students begin the application process for their thirty week placement.

After the second year examinations, students undertake an accredited 30-week industrial placement, organised by the LINKS office in conjunction with the student. A relevant industry project must be completed in respect of this placement.

If students are considering an international career, the college would encourage students to study an international language during the three years of study and to complete their international placement in a location that supports the development of the language.
