GMIT's Department of Biopharmaceutical and Medical Science offers courses in the following areas:

  • Applied Biology and Biopharmaceutical Science
  • Common Science (Undenominated)*
  • Medical Science

*this is a common first year which offers students the opportunity to decide which degree they wish to pursue at the end of year one (subject to places being available and with the exception of Medical Science).

All courses in this department offer the following:

  • Work placement as part of the programme
  • Programmes which are all APPLIED in nature
  • Large element of practical and project work from year one
  • Small class sizes
