Social Psychology

Description

This is a Level 8 Module taught over a single semester. It is designed to provide students with a knowledge about the main principles and findings in social psychology, and their relevance in various organisational settings. 

Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of and ability to discuss issues related to social influence and group dynamics.

  2. Provide an in-depth view of the major principles and findings of social psychology with particular emphasis on how this knowledge can be applied to the design and implementation of programmes for personal and social development.

  3. Provide an awareness of the process and applications of social psychology research with regard to adventure education.

  4. Be aware of the essential components of a therapeutic adventure programme including diagnosis, staffing skills, programme content and evaluation.
