Cher Harris Masterclass for GMIT students and staff

Award winning Chef Cher Harris is Executive Head Pastry Chef at Hotel Hershey in Pennsylvania, she recently visited GMIT from March 6th to March 8th 2017.
During her time in the Institute Cher worked with GMIT culinary lecturer and former winner of the President’s award for Excellence in Teaching, Mary Reid.
Cher visited some advanced culinary classes and also hosted a Masterclass on Wednesday March 8th to a packed Demonstration Theatre.
Attendees included students from various culinary arts programmes, staff including retired colleagues and industry partners.
Items made on the day included Apple Hazelnut and Chocolate Torte, Espresso short bread with peanut butter feullentine and Gateau Opera.
