Provide students with a comprehensive knowledge of Tourism policy, planning and the strategies being pursued by the Industry at global, European, national, regional and local level.

  1. Analyse the stages involved in the Tourism Planning Process

  2. Assess how tourism policy is formulated at local, regional, national, European and international levels.

  3. Contrast the approaches being adopted by the range of organisations involved in policy, planning and strategy.

  4. Appraise Tourism policies, plans and strategies for selected destinations and regions.

  5. Evaluate the impact of changing influences on tourism and hospitality organisations, and the strategies employed to deal with these changes.
